
So you’ve heard of pairing chocolate with wine, but what about complementing that rich truffle with a cup of loose leaf? We were so excited about this idea that we paired up with Vosges Haut Chocolat last night for a special Chocolate & Tea pairing event at our tea shop in Soho!
Vosges Chocolat specializes in creating luxury chocolates rooted in a sensory journey of bringing an “awareness to indigenous cultures through the exploration of spices, herbs, roots, flowers, fruits, nuts, chocolate and the obscure.” Many of their treats bring together seemingly odd combinations (such as bacon and chocolate, or curry and chocolate) as a way to just “come one step closer to bringing peace to the world through chocolate.”
Everyone here at Sanctuary T agrees that this sensory experience of chocolate also translates to tea–that feeling of retreat you get from sipping your favorite cup. So at the event we paired up 10 specialty Voseges chocolate bars with 10 of our favorite BYOT loose leaf tea flavors.
